Questions About What to Schedule in Spring 2022?

Please watch these scheduling videos if you are in your major and review the Bulletin.  For questions about scheudling courses that involve both a lecture and lab component, please watch this tutorial video

How do I Contact Smeal Departments?

- As always, Smeal academic advisers are not able to put students in or take students out of any courses, whether they are open or full

- Please make sure to read the "Course Enrollment Notes" and pre-requisites to make sure you are eligible to take the specific section of the course prior to contacting the department

- Any overriding into a full course is requested (but not guaranteed) through the Academic Department and should only be done in extreme circumstances (graduating this semester, just entered the major, etc.)

Academic Advising Appointments

- The advising process will be offered both in-person and via Zoom.  Please check the specific appointment slot when scheduling on Starfish if you prefer the other offering (in-person or virtual).

- Continue to make appointments through Starfish (note: this includes during "Drop-In Week", appointments must always be made in advance)

- Continue to e-mail your adviser as normal for simple questions

Diversity Enhancement Programs

- Services will be offered both in-person in 204 Business Building and remotely via Zoom.

Smeal Office of International Programs

- Students have the option to choose in-person or virtual (Zoom) study abroad advising appointments. See the Upcoming Events for study abroad event details.

- Continue to make appointments using Starfish to talk about studying abroad and the International Business Minor

- You may email the International Programs adviser that you have been working with or smeal-international@psu.edu

Business Career Center

- Offering numerous opportunities to assist students with career development, come see us in 114 Business Building; use this e-mail address for questions.

- Visit Nittany Lion Careers to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment with a career coach (once logged into NLC, click 'Counseling Appt' button along the left side then click 'Request New Appointment', where you will enter details, time, date, etc.)

- Check the BCC website event listings for virtual career fair and upcoming event information

- Daily drop-ins this spring semester available between 9 a.m. – 5.p.m. Monday through Friday! Come chat with a career service intern! No appointment necessary, visit us in 114 Business Building.
