What goes into the cost of study abroad?
Tuition
- In State Students- $10,823
- Out of State Students- $21,640
- DID YOU KNOW? Out of State Students pay In State Tuition on all programs through Arcadia, CIEE, and IES!
Program Fee
- Covers on the ground support
- Some field trips
- Usually covers housing (see program fee notes)
- Additional $250 administrative fee
Non-Billable Costs
- Flights
- Food (usually, see program fee and housing notes)
- Travel outside of program
- Books and supplies
- Personal expenses
All programs listed on this page include housing and program fees for $6000 or less
Out of State Students- remember to look for programs where you can get in-state tuition for additional savings!
Non-billable costs and tuition are not factored into this list- it is important to research the cost of living in the area you are interested in studying abroad. Your own decisions, such as staying local on the weekends instead of travelling, opting for a homestay with meals included, and studying in an area with a lower cost of living can all make a huge difference here!
Students can also review additional financial planning resources and scholarship information on our Financial Planning page. Students can apply for additional study abroad scholarships through PSU Global and Smeal College of Business.
