Terms of use for advising scheduling system

Smeal students are able to use the Smeal eAdvising system to schedule an advising appointment with their assigned adviser. up-dated terms of scheduling system including cancellations and no-shows/missed appointments

Smeal students are able to use the Smeal eAdvising system to schedule an advising appointment with their assigned adviser.

Smeal students who are not assigned to a specific adviser and are assigned to the "Smeal Advising Center" can still use the system to schedule an advising appointment.  Once you log in and chose a date, you will see several adviser names and may pick whichever day or time best fits your schedule.  Once you are officially assigned to an adviser, the scheduling system will be updated and you you will see your assigned adviser and his/her available times.

Reminder emails are sent the day before your scheduled appointment.  Advising time is very valuable due to the volume of appointment made each week with the advisers.  For this reason, the system has been set up to monitor student same-day cancellations and no-show/missed appointments

  • Two same day cancellations will result in a student being "locked out" of the advising schedule system.  You will only be able to schedule an appointment by contacting the advising center directly.
  • Two missed appointments will result in a student being "locked out" of the advising schedule system.  You will only be able to schedule an appointment by contacting the advising center directly.
  • A combination of 2 same-day cancellation and no-show/missed appointments will result in a student being "locked out" of the advising schedule system.  You will only be able to schedule an appointment by contacting the advising center directly.
  • Please note:  If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, it may be counted as a missed appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your adviser may ask you to re-schedule depending on how late you are and the availability of the adviser.
