What in the World is New Student Orientation?

The two day introduction to Penn State

New Student Orientation (NSO)

Your academic orientation to Penn State, and to the college of your enrollment. As a student pursuing a business major, you will attend the general NSO sessions on Day 1, the morning of Day 2, and then come to the Smeal College NSO session in the afternoon.

What Goes On?

During your NSO day, you will learn about Penn State, the undergraduate curriculum, the specific curriculum for the Smeal College of Business, and important university and Smeal policies and procedures that will impact your time at Penn State. The morning part of NSO will focus broadly on the university as a whole, while the afternoon will focus on your specific college (Smeal).
