Student Organizations
Student Organizations at Smeal and Penn State
There are plenty of opportunities to become involved on campus. There are over 30 active student organizations within the Smeal college to help you learn more about your field of study and provide you with opportunities for learning leadership skills.
You also have access to more than 600 clubs and organizations scattered throughout the University Park campus so that you can forge friendships through shared interests. Wherever your interests are, there is a club that matches those interests.
Smeal’s student organization office functions as a wing of the Office of Career and Corporate Services, which is dedicated to your professional development. The office offers assistance with:
- Finding the right student organization for you
- Guidance regarding starting your own interest group
- Targeting companies that want to work with your organization
- Assistance with event planning
- Internal and external marketing of your group, its members, and its goals
- Individual resume reviews, mock interviews, and cover letter critiques
