May students find their own internships?

Yes. Keep in mind that typical summer jobs do not qualify as internships. Students who find their own internships are still required to notify the Internship Program, submit a job description, and complete an "Internship Acceptance Form". If the internship is during the Spring, Spring/Summer, Summer/Fall or Fall semester, students are required to register for BA395A to maintain continuous enrollment status. The credit is optional for summer-only internships unless required by the employer.
