Do you offer summer-only internships?

Yes, but summer positions are very competitive. Most students hired for summer opportunities have already completed an internship during the academic year. We strongly encourage students to seek Spring, Spring/Summer, Summer/Fall or Fall internships because they are easier to get with fewer applicants in the candidate pool. Students with questions about the feasibility of taking a semester off should email us at intern@smeal.psu.edu. Students who find a summer-only internship are still required to complete an "Internship Acceptance Form", along with a job description. Reporting a summer internship to our program does not cost anything and does not require a credit.
